What Can We Embroider?

Embroidery works especially well on apparel and headwear where a clean, professional and dimensional logo is desired.

Embroidered Hats & Caps

One of the most popular embroidery applications.

Add logos, names or simple artwork to snapbacks, structured caps, performance hats and other compatible headwear.

Best for: Businesses, teams, golf events, organizations and branded merchandise.

Embroidered Polo Shirts

Best for polished business apparel.

A stitched chest logo gives polos a professional uniform appearance without the feel of a large printed graphic.

Best for: Sales teams, offices, technicians, hospitality, events and company uniforms.

Embroidered Jackets

Best for premium outerwear branding.

Soft-shell jackets and compatible outerwear can be embroidered with logos, names and company branding.

Best for: Employees, field teams, corporate apparel and professional uniforms.

Quarter-Zips & Pullovers

Best for lightweight professional apparel.

Quarter-zips offer a versatile alternative to traditional polos while maintaining a clean embroidered corporate look.

Best for: Offices, teams, events, sales staff and employee apparel.

Workwear & Uniforms

Best for consistent employee branding.

Add logos, employee names, departments and identification to compatible work shirts, outerwear and uniform pieces.

Best for: Contractors, service companies, crews and business uniforms.

Custom & Specialty Apparel

Best when you need something outside the online catalog.

If you have a particular garment, bag, visor, beanie or apparel style in mind, send us the details and we'll review whether it is suitable for embroidery.

Embroidery vs. DTF vs. Screen Printing

Embroidery isn't automatically the right decoration method for every design. The best method depends on the garment, artwork, quantity and finished appearance you want.

Embroidery

Choose embroidery for a premium stitched appearance.

Thread creates texture and dimension that works especially well for logos on hats, polos, jackets and professional uniforms.

DTF Printing

Choose DTF for highly detailed full-color artwork.

DTF can reproduce gradients, photographs and fine detail that may not translate cleanly into stitches.

Screen Printing

Choose screen printing for larger runs of printed apparel.

Screen printing can be a strong choice when producing the same printed design across a larger quantity of t-shirts or garments.

Not Sure Which Method Fits Your Logo?

Send us your artwork and tell us what garment you're considering. We'll help determine whether embroidery, DTF or screen printing makes the most sense.

Questions about placement, garment style or your logo? You're working with a real production shop in Laguna Hills.

Popular Embroidery Placements

Logo placement depends on the garment, design proportions and the professional look you're trying to achieve.

Left Chest

The classic placement for company logos on polos, jackets, quarter-zips and uniforms.

Right Chest

Useful for employee names, departments or secondary information paired with a logo on the opposite side.

Hat Front

A highly visible placement for logos, team marks and branded headwear.

Hat Side

Works well for smaller secondary logos, initials, numbers or additional branding.

Sleeve

Applicable garments can use sleeve embroidery for smaller logos, sponsor marks or secondary branding.

Custom Placement

Have something different in mind? Placement options depend on garment construction and access for the embroidery equipment.

Don't Worry About Your Embroidery Artwork

Don't already have an embroidery-ready file?

Send us your normal logo.

Embroidery requires artwork to be converted into stitch instructions before production. This process is commonly called digitizing.

Vector artwork is helpful, but you don't need to already have an embroidery machine file. Send us your Illustrator, PDF, PNG, JPG or best available logo and we'll review it.

Fine lines, tiny lettering, gradients and very detailed artwork may need to be simplified or adjusted so the logo reproduces cleanly with thread.

If you're starting without finished artwork, contact us to discuss available design assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Embroidery

What is custom embroidery?

Custom embroidery uses thread stitched directly into a garment or hat to reproduce a logo, name or other design.

What apparel can you embroider?

Common embroidery products include hats, polos, jackets, quarter-zips, workwear and other compatible apparel.

Is embroidery good for company logos?

Yes. Embroidery is especially popular for business logos because it creates a dimensional, professional appearance on polos, hats, jackets and uniforms.

Do I need an embroidery file?

No. Send us your regular logo artwork. We can review it and prepare the stitch-based production file needed for embroidery.

What does digitizing mean?

Digitizing is the process of converting artwork into stitch instructions that tell the embroidery equipment how the design should be sewn.

Can every logo be embroidered exactly as-is?

Not always. Very small text, extremely fine lines, gradients and highly detailed artwork may need to be simplified so they reproduce cleanly with thread.

Can embroidery reproduce gradients or photographs?

Embroidery uses individual thread colors rather than printed ink, so photographic artwork and smooth gradients are generally better suited to DTF or another full-color printing method.

What is the best size for a left-chest logo?

The appropriate size depends on the logo shape, garment and amount of detail. Our team can help determine a proportional size for the selected apparel.

Can you embroider employee names?

Yes. Names and other personalized information can be added to many embroidered apparel projects.

Can I mix apparel sizes in one order?

Yes. Most business and team apparel orders can include multiple garment sizes when the same general decoration setup is being used.

Can I provide my own garments?

Contact us before bringing in customer-supplied apparel. Suitability depends on the garment, material, construction and embroidery location.

Can you embroider hats?

Yes. Hats and caps are one of the most common embroidery applications we produce.

How long does embroidery take?

Turnaround depends on garment availability, quantity, artwork setup and our current production schedule. If you have a specific deadline, contact us before ordering so we can confirm availability.

Can I pick up embroidered apparel locally?

Yes. Local pickup is available from Cutting Edge Signs & Graphics in Laguna Hills, California.

Do you ship embroidered apparel?

Yes. Many custom apparel orders can be shipped throughout the United States through CEPrints.com.
